The Cantorial feature is dedicated to the memory of Irving Schenker who passed away recently. From 1978 to 2004 he was the conductor of the choir of Beth Sholom Congregation in Washington, D.C. He was a graduate of the prestigious Eastman School Of Music and it was an honor for me to sing under his hand for all those years. We present two selections by the choir in his memory:
