On the Cantorial Feature, two very nice selections by Cantor Joseph Eidelson (1916-2004). He held his first positions in the 1930’s in Poland and Lithuania. Surviving the Holocaust, he came to American after the war and in 1950 became the Cantor of the prestigious East Midwood Jewish Center in Brooklyn where he served with distinction for over 50 years until his passing in 2004. For many years his choir was directed by the famous Abe Nadel. These two selections are from a 1957 album made for the Metro Music Company in New York.
