Born in New York in 1920, he became one of the most popular Cantors in the New York area. He appeared many times on radio and television broadcasts and held positions in many leading shuls. His career ended tragically when he died of a massive heart attack in 1965 at the age of only 45. His son Neil had an illustrious career with the Metropolitan Opera. Here are two very nice selections from a 1956 album released by the Metro Music Company in New York.
