Hi Everybody!! Hope you all had a great Passover holiday. On this week’s program we present our special program for Yom Hashoah, the Holocaust Memorial Day. On this week’s program you will hear rare archival, commercial and broadcast recordings relating to the Holocaust, and many rarities at that! From Ben’s side of the table, we hear the modern interpretations as today’s artists use the modern musical sounds to remember this most terrible tragedy. And you will hear recordings by some artists who became part of the Six Million. It is a very special program and Ben and I hope that you will find it meaningful and inspirational. That’s the line-up for this week. On next week’s program we will present a rebroadcast of “Israel At 50”, a program I produced back in 1998 to commemorate Israel’s 50th anniversary. It is a fascinating program which tells the turbulent saga of the establishment of the modern State of Israel in 1948. With priceless rare archival, broadcast and commercial recordings, the sounds of these momentous times come back to us in a program that was my honor to produce and to share it again year after year. It is one you won’t want to miss! In the meantime, thanks for listening and have a great week!!
