On the Cantorial Feature, two very nice selections by Cantor Herman Malamood (1941-1989) a fine chazzan whose career was cut short when he passed away at the age of only 48 years old. Trained in both the Cantorial and Operatic art, he was for many years the Cantor of the famous Concord Hotel in the Catskills. These two selections are taken from a 1977 album released by the Concord. Cantor Malamood is accompanied by the orchestra of the late Bob Reisenman.
