He appeared in many Yiddish movies, he was a constant presence on the radio in the New York area and recorded many 78’s and later LP albums for a wide variety of record companies. He passed away in 1969. His son, Cantor Harvey Waldman, has created a very fine website dedicated to his father which you can access at leibelewaldman.blogspot.com On the cantorial feature we hear two very nice selections from a series which he recorded for RCA Victor in the mid-1940’s.
