Hi Everybody!! Another new program is up on the website for your enjoyment!! It is our special program for the Shabbos Nachamu weekend!! With the somber days of the Three Weeks and Tisha B’Av behind us now, we present a very upbeat, inspiring and happy program for your enjoyment!! Ben and I hope that you enjoy it!! We also pay tribute to the late Fyvush Finkel, who passed away earlier in the week. A great star of the Yiddish stage who crossed over into the American mainstream in the 1990’s with his starring roles on “Picket Fences” and “Boston Public”. On the Cantorial Feature this week two very nice selections recorded by Cantor Henoch Borenstein. One of the six Borenstein brothers, all well known chazzanim, he was born in Poland in 1902. After singing in well known choirs in Poland, he came to America in 1921. After serving in New York for a number of years, he went to Philadelphia where he served and remained until his passing in 1996. On the Cantorial feature two recordings from different stages of his career:
