Hi Everybody!! Another great program is up on the website for your enjoyment!! A regular edition of the program with lots of great vintage and modern Jewish music, culled from our family archive of over 110 years of great recordings. On the program Ben and I will pay tribute to the unique talent of the great Jewish singer and songwriter, Leonard Cohen, who passed away last week. Ben and I appreciate all the great support we get from you, our listeners, and we remind you to help spread the good word about Washington Jewish Radio by forwarding the website to everyone you can. Here is the line-up for this week’s program:

On the Cantorial Feature we hear two very nice selections by Cantor Solomon Kreitstein. Born in Poland he came to America and was Cantor of the Nathan Strauss Jewish Center in the Bronx, New York at the time this recording was made in 1953. Little else is known about this Chazzan but his singing is in the style of the Polish “Zoger” Chazzan, who interprets the words very carefully. Here are the two selections for this week:
1. Av Horachamim
2. Shomea Kol Bichyos
