These are from a series of albums in which Cantor Katz sang with a choir, completely a capella, to faithfully recreate the sound of an actual service. He is accompanied by the choir of the famed conductor Seymour Silbermintz (1917-2000).

Hi Everybody!! Its a double header here on Washington Jewish Radio. Because of the configuration of the calendar this year, we combined two holidays into one show! The first hour is in honor of Yom Yerushalayim and the second hour is for Memorial Day, as we open the treasure chest of vintage American radio broadcasts. It is a special program that you will surely enjoy!! Ben and I thank you, our great listeners, for all of your support of the program. On the Cantorial Feature, two very nice selections by the famous Chazan Leibele Waldman. Born in New York in 1907, he was the most famous American born Cantor of the Golden Age. These two selections are from a 78 rpm record he made for Banner Records. accompanied by the Oscar Julius Choir in 1949.  Cantor Waldman passed away in 1969.
