In 1958, he came to the United States and became Cantor of the Beth Sholom Congregation here in Washington DC. He remained here until 1963, when he moved to Montreal and served many synagogues until making Aliyah in 1996 and when he lived in Israel, he opened a school for training young Cantors. He died at the age of 96 in 2008! On today’s Cantorial feature we hear two selections from an album he recorded while serving in Washington for Famous Records in 1958.
